A beautiful day………
One Million Trees in One Day….
Was helping a dear friend today, make a start preparing a sloping site, to receive a selection of fruit trees from this amazing initiative. We had great company, told jokes in the cold, smoke tinged air, safe in the knowledge that we were doing some-thing so worth-while, that would out live us…

Here comes the sun, again !……
Driving the school run this morning, it felt like those early summer mornings, when the beach was on the agenda, and you could almost smell the barbecue, and the sun-cream and salty air, living near the sea is such a joy, not hemmed in on all sides. Enjoy the beautiful weather…..

It was 12° today as I strolled down the prom in Lahinch. Blue skies, people out, surfers in, lapping it up. Leaning on the new white railings that have that Brighton feel about them, I wouldn’t be any where else today. Glorious and nourishing as only the sun can be,…

My dear friend Dickie told me that when he was young his mother, used to feed him and his siblings in the morning, before they would head off playing, hunting, and getting up to mischief, until the belly’s would start to rumble, and they would return home to Mammy. Ah…
If you have two loaves, sell one and buy a lily……..
Researching from The Bedside Book of the Garden, by Dr. D.G Hessayon, I happened upon the Chinese proverb above,that I loved and wanted to share. You could swap a loaf, for a lily, but it may not seem fair. Bartering is a great way of getting things done though, or acquiring things…
