Have I been busy or what, so much to report, making a T.V ad, setting up a Wild Kitchen in the woods, more Seaweed Walks, and believe it or not a phone call from RTE’s nationwide asking me to take them on a Wild Food walk…….
So here goes, must tell you about the Carnival first, and even though it was through a cancellation (who shall remain name-less ) I readily agreed to set up a Wild Food Kitchen in beautiful woodlands near the fort of Mooghaun (Irish: Múchán). It is a late Bronze Age hill fort located in County Clare, Ireland. It is a well preserved, recently excavated site, occupying an entire hill with wide views of the surrounding lands. Believed to be the largest hill fort in Ireland, it is one of the region’s main tourist attractions. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Pickles and chutneys took over the worktop, and wild food became the menu in our house for the week. It was great practice for the cookery demo I am hosting as part of the Food Fayre for the www.burrenwinterage.com, Winter Festival at the Pavillion, Lisdoonvarna, on the 27/10/2013……….

We were there for the Sunday Family Heritage day with the theme being food:
