My assistant and I will take children on a wild flower and insect nature walk to Identify native pollinator friendly flowers . They will learn how and when to collect wild flower seeds. Learn about the insects that live on these flowers. We will teach then what a Flower insect timed count is and get the children to carry out a count and upload results on pdf form to https://records.biodiversityireland.ie/record/fit-count. We will make seed packets from recycled cardboard and make and take home plant pots made from milk cartons and cardoard rolls. Then to finish we make wild flower lemonade to enjoy in the garden. |
