This is a quote from one of the participants of the first organic gardening class, held at Wild Kitchen.
It was cold, though it was supposed to be 13°, but that didn’t stop the enthusiasm and questions flowing. I was a tad nervous, as it was a while since I had taught people, but when you teach some-thing you love and have spent a life time involved in, it comes back, as if you had been doing it for-ever.
I had a dream ages ago to create a space for showing interested and like-minded folk, how to grow organic food. This has developed into Wild Food walks and cooking too! and to pass on the precious knowledge I learned at An TIonad Glas, the organic college in Dromcollogher I attended a few years back.
Rearing 3 boys and working to live, I chipped away at the plan, and bit by bit, wanting to some-times runaway or throw in the towel, I perceived and yesterday that dream became a reality. Boy was I proud to finally show people around the garden and tunnel,and get such positive feedback from all who took part. Thank you guys. It meant a lot to me.
