I just made a batch of water kefir, here’s how, add ½ fresh organic lemon cut into slices, 2 dried figs , and 4 to 6 tablespoons of organic sugar into a clean glass container. Add some warm distilled or bottled water and stir solution until sugar is dissolved. Top off with enough water to make ½ gal batch. Then add kefir grains, plus a little of the liquid, too. It will be ready in 18 to 24 hours at room temperature.
It is a delicious slightly fizzy non-alcoholic drink, OK, maybe 1%. alcohol. It’s Pro-biotic and very good for you.
