Make Bird Feeders from Recycled Materials |

Have a talk about feeding wild birds. We will have handouts and resources for getting children interested in wild birds and their needs. We will talk about the value of wild flowers for providing a food source when in seed and as host plants for the hundreds of insect’s young birds need every day to survive. Then we will instruct and have children participate in making two different types of simple bird feeders from recycled materials. They can then fill with seed and bring home. Materials used are big and small plastic bottles, String, scissors, pencils/chopsticks. Ecotape, Funnel, Bird seed,

We meet at Moy Community Garden, Moy Beag, Lahinch, just before the church carpark and Gaa Pitch.

The event is FREE and open to children aged 5 to 13, and their parents/guardians.
